Happiness and what it means to me
The Minecraft Girl: My name is Priyamvada Gupta and all my close friends and family call me Khushi. Khushi is a Hindi word meaning happiness. Happiness is a glorious word but is often used in the wrong context. Saying ”I am happy” and hearing ”are you happy ?” can get frustrating after a point of time. ”I am fine, yes I am happy” when someone says this statement there is something going on which they don't wanna talk about for sure. Well, let's not come to that side and let's try and understand the real meaning of happiness. Sciences prove that smiling is the best way to feel better in any situation. Smiling activates the release of feel-good messengers that work towards fighting stress..
If laughter is the best medicine, smiling is a home remedy that always works. Ever heard of the glass? Yes, that same old glass. The half-full half-empty one. That example best explains the pov from which you think. If you feel the glass is half empty you often find out the missing parts in situations and get annoyed because of that. These type of people are categorised under pessimistic thinkers. The people who see the glass half full are positive or optimistic thinkers in general. This method of categorisation does not intend to discriminate anyone at all.
It is a general study of your attitude and way of thinking. My mom once told me about this interesting phenomenon called cross bench mentality. It is basically thinking from the other persons pov. It’s like swapping shoes and understanding why the other person is down or happy or hyper-active. Being able to understand situations which the person you are conversing with is in, is a skill, once mastered will take you far in life. Being happy is simply being joyous. Maybe understanding what situation your friend is in and helping her/him out makes you happy! The small things matter most. Not saying big things don't matter but try hards (people who dress to impress or try very hard) don't get very far in life. They play a game of luck. Well, you are playing a game of chess and you’re going to checkmate the other team with simply a pawn. Defeat the pessimistic energy and rule the world with positivity. That's being happy to me. Jumping and rolling on the floor with my dog Cookie or defeating my parents in a game of monopoly makes me happy. You do you! and live every moment with a smile on your face as #YOLO
Ever heard of the phrase fake it till you make it? Do that! You ain't actually happy!? fake being happy and fake your smile. Eventually, that fake smile will turn real as it will become a pattern of your everyday life and make your nature optimistic.
Extra information on what a smile actually does to you - When a smile flashes across your face, dopamine, endorphins and serotonin are all released into your bloodstream, making not only your body relax but also work to lower your heart rate and blood pressure
Capture the moments that make you happiest and lock them up in your memory box forever

This is me on my birthday. This is my signature smile.
