RING OF FIRE

An annular solar eclipse occurred on June 21, 2020. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the image of the Sun for a viewer on Earth.

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes directly between the Earth and the sun. ... This bright ring of sunlight around the moon at the height of the annular solar eclipse is how it earned the nickname the "ring of fireeclipse.

Never look at the sun directly during a solar eclipse (except during the very brief time the sun is in total eclipse; and even then, with caution). Looking directly at the sun can cause permanent damage to your eyes.  After viewing a solar eclipse, seek treatment from an eye care professional if you or your child have any changes in vision that continue to get worse.
There are special glasses made for viewing the solar eclipses to not harm your eyes. Youtube live streams can be viewed to see eclipses like the ring of fire if you don't have special glasses.

Viewing a solar eclipse via your smartphone seems like a good idea but it isn't! while lining up your camera to the sun, both your eye lens and camera lens will be permanently damaged.

They are made of a black polymer, which is a flexible resin that is infused with carbon particles. Because of the strength of the black polymer, solar eclipse glasses block all ultraviolet rays and nearly all visible light. This difference in the construct is key.
